Visa, Visa, Master Card, Star, NYCE, and other networks require double-length, 32-character ATM terminal master keys to enable Triple-DES encryption. Institutions moving forward to meet Triple DES requirements on a timely basis increase network security and avoid potential fines and penalties.

Under the conventional A98 process, our enhanced comvelopes contain the 32-character key component for use in the ATM. The procedures performed by the field servicers and the processing completed by the A98 and its connection to the host, remain unchanged. The same A98 system supports both single-length and double-length keys, providing a consistent transition to Triple-DES.

The A98 Remote Key Module (A98-R) provides fully automated Triple-DES support to remote key capable ATMs.
